2012

Venturing forth on another expedition to Teachers College to further explore Readers Workshop.

2011

Back in the saddle again for Round 3. K and I are ready to add some shine to our Writers Workshop strategies this summer. Until we jump on the bandwagon Monday morning we are taking note of the metropolitan environs... and then some.

2010

After jumping in with both feet, teaching Readers and Writers Workshop in our classrooms for a year, K and I are back at Teachers College for Act II. We are attending Readers Workshop and will be filling the bill with more strategy focused morning and afternoon sessions. Until Monday, when the training gets underway, we are obligated to paint the town red, (or "read", as the case may be).

Taking the Bull by the Horns

Rebounded back into action with a hearty brunch in Tribeca.

We took a stroll through the World Trade Center sight and an unoccupied Wall Street. Unoccupied, that is, except for the throngs of tourists patiently waiting their turns to have Junior or Sissy smile and cup the family-friendly family jewels of the legendary bull.

My high-brow bro reproached my penny pinching propensity for the free Staten Island ferry and redirected us to an actual sightseeing cruise of lower Manhattan, complete with expansive views of bridges, buildings, and the Lady Liberty,. Narrated by the throaty Kathleen Turner!

Thanks to B's encyclopedic memory of Rock and roll references, we were able to take a gander at the site of the Physical Grafiti, (Led Zep), album cover in the West Village.

After a long day of going around the horn, we wet our whistles at a sidewalk cafe.
