2012

Venturing forth on another expedition to Teachers College to further explore Readers Workshop.

2011

Back in the saddle again for Round 3. K and I are ready to add some shine to our Writers Workshop strategies this summer. Until we jump on the bandwagon Monday morning we are taking note of the metropolitan environs... and then some.

2010

After jumping in with both feet, teaching Readers and Writers Workshop in our classrooms for a year, K and I are back at Teachers College for Act II. We are attending Readers Workshop and will be filling the bill with more strategy focused morning and afternoon sessions. Until Monday, when the training gets underway, we are obligated to paint the town red, (or "read", as the case may be).

Breakfast of Champions

Up and out, on the trail by the crack of noon!
(Now that school is officially out for summer)

A day dedicated to the foodies...

Warning: Animal advocates and PETA friends should not venture any further down the page than the scone.

For breakfast we've moved on from the traditional Special K and to Special L. L for Levain Bakery and Land. Nothing better to kick start the weekend than a run in Central Park followed by the best oatmeal raisin scone
available and an 8 0z. dark chocolate chocolate chip cookie back. Then on to some curry and the famous green dumplings from Land
thai. Yum.

After recovering from the morning's investigations we moved on from letter L to M. M for Minetta Tavern and their Monstrous Black Label burger comprised of delectably rare, (and I normally only order medium well), 45 day, dry-aged, prime beef cuts. We launched this expedition with a Guinea hen and foie gras terrine, accompanied by an absinthe cocktail.

There's not much left to do after that.
